A Brief Introduction to Gongshu
Gongshu district is located in the central area of the city of Hangzhou. Where the city Committee and Council are. It has 3 towns, 7 residential districts, 30 villages and 119 communities with an area of 87.73 square km and a population of 700.000.
Gongshu district enjoys a long history and has well developed industry and commerce. It has excellent infrastructure and complementary supporting services. It has a flourishing commercial area in the South, and there are many big industry businesses such as Hangzhou Thermoelectric Plant, Banshan Power Plant and Hangzhou Steelworks in the North. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal crossing the district from North to South, has profoundly influenced both culture and history and city has created huge opportunities for the real estate industry. Transport is very convenient by either and or water, the No. 104 and 320 National Highways crossing through the district. The Shangtang Highway that connects the East and West of Hangzhou City stretches over Gongshu District and joins the ring road in the North of the city.
As the new base of economic development, Gongshu District, has initially established thousands of square meters; Daguan Commercial Area which is located in the premium area; Xinyifang which is both a cultural and commercial area; Grand Canal Goods Flow Section which occupies a large area; Hanzhou Motor Vehicle industrial & Commercial Park which the only one in Zhejiang Province.
